The Aim of VCCsg

The aim of the consortium is to drive the uptake of visual code adoption and awareness in Singapore, work with ITSC to develop a Singapore visual code standard and also act as a platform where various parties interested in using this technology can interact and collaborate to develop and implement new ideas & services using visual codes.
While there exist a great disparity of visual code standards and implementations around the world, VCCsg's goal is not the development of yet another new standard or code, but rather to see the consortium leading the visual code industry in Singapore and actively contributing to worldwide standards.

Structure
Formed as a sub-committee under Wireless Chapter of the Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF), VCCsg will look after the interests of the various stakeholders in the consortium. These stakeholders will represent organizations which have an interest in the development and adoption of visual code technology.
Associate membership in VCCsg will offer a wider group of organizations like visual code users, customers and institutes of higher learning opportunities to contribute and participate in VCCsg.
Working groups will be formed to oversee marketing, promotions and events. In conjunction with the Information Technology Standards Committee, the consortium will also define visual code guidelines and standards.
