Singapore - Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) and ColorZip SEA are extending their partnership over ZapCode, with the tool to be offered to advertisers across all of SPH's media platforms.

SPH and ColorZip SEA, the company that holds the rights to the patented technology, have now agreed to extend their strategy into the Singapore market.

"With the onslaught of the economic downturn, advertisers are looking for more added-value plus new interactive ways to convince their potential customers to buy their products and services," Leslie Fong, senior executive vice-president of SPH's marketing division, said.

"What better way to do this than to inject an engagement tool such as ZapCode into tried and tested media platforms, together with relevant content to entice consumers to spend and at the same time be rewarded with value."

ZapCode will be positioned and sold as a complementary add-on tool to the host of SPH media products available for advertisers to invest in. A sales force of over 100 from SPH's print, online, out-of-home and event platforms will be put into action for this thrust into the market.

ZapCodes placed in press ads, online banners and outdoor media allow consumers to ‘zap' for a host of information which is then beamed back to their mobile phones.
